Arnold Erick Wagner, age 90, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Kindred Hearts in Green Lake with his family by his side.
Arnold was born on April 8, 1922, in the Town of Metomen, the son of William and Dora (Daehn) Wagner. He served our country in the United States Army as a T5 Corporal from September 7, 1942 to September 15, 1945. On April 3, 1948, Arnold married Geraldine Dillman in Berlin. He was a self-employed small engine repairman and retired from the Service Garage in October of 1988. Arnold volunteered many hours to the Green Lake-Brooklyn Fire Department and drove school bus. He was a member of Federated Church of Green Lake and the Green Lake Willis-Chapel Legion Post #306.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Geraldine Wagner; daughter, Judy (Adrian) Gilliam and son, William Wagner all of Green Lake, WI; four grandchildren, Tammy, Sarah, Jennifer and Matthew; four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Brooklyn and Jackson and one sister, Myra Nitz of Green Lake, WI. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Michael; brother, Glen; sister, Laura and mother and father-in-law, Blance and Roy Dillman.
A private family visitation and funeral service for Arnold Wagner will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012, at Federated Church of Green Lake in Green Lake. Reverend Karen Gygax-Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to the Green Lake/Brooklyn Firemen, P.O.
