Arthur S. Beier, age 69, of Pickett, WI, died unexpectedly October 9, 1996, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
He was born September 24, 1927, in Indiana, a son to the late Elmer A. and Doris L. (Stych) Beier. He attended Ripon High School thru the 10th grade, and then helped on the family farm. Farming had been his whole life and he had farmed for 52 years. He married the former Anna Haight on October 1, 1951, in Arkansas. Mr. Beier believed in the Baptist Faith and attended the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; his children, Emerson Beier of Wausau, David Beier of Los Angles, CA, Barbara Spittel and her husband, Duane of Fond du Lac, Margie Schneider and her husband, Kevin of Rosendale, Larry Beier of Rosendale, and Tammy Beier of Oshkosh; 22 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Emerson Beier of VA and Elmer Beier of Iola; two sisters, JoAnn Manning and Thelma Sprague, both of FL; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 12, 1996, at 11:00 am at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Pastor Douglas Hanback officiating.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rosendale Cemetery in Rosendale.
