Arthur C. Dusty Davis, age 89, of Ripon, died 10 June 1996, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon, where he had been a resident for a few days.
He was born 7 December 1906, in the Town of Leon, Waushara County, to Irvin S. Davis and Nellie (Hubbard) Davis. He was united in marriage with Luella Meyerholtz on 7 December 1934, in Crown Point, IN. Mr. Davis was a salesman fOr much of his life, selling vacuum cleaners (Eureka & Air Way), farm machinery (Ford) at both Berlin and Ripon, and appliances (Wisconsin Power & Light) at Ripon. He also worked as a machinist for Mercury Marine and the A.F. Klinzing Company in Fond du Lac. He lived in Ripon since 1941.
He is survived by son James A. Davis and his wife Phyllis (Lindner) Davis of Ripon; granddaughters Jennifer (Dean) Schmuhl of Fairwater, Sandra Davis of Ripon and Kathleen Kate Davis of Ripon and her fiancee Wayland Labhart of Great Lakes, IL; brothers Howard I. Davis and his wife Louise of Neshkoro and Robert E. Davis and his wife Rosemary of Oshkosh; sisters-in-law Lillie (Henry) Meyerholtz of Fremont and Millie (Glenn) Davis of Cleveland, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, brothers Vernon E. and Glenn H. Davis; sisters-in-law Mabel Meyerholtz and Eileen Davis, and brothers-in-law, John and Henry Meyerholtz.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Thursday, 13 June 1996 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Pastor Donald Deike officiating. Burial will be in the Welsh Cemetery, Town of Aurora, Green Lake County. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12th from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
