Arthur W. Kohnke, age 72, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, November 2, 1984, at Sunnyview Village Nursing Home in Princeton.
Arthur was born October 8, 1912, at Rosendale, WI, the son of August and Anna (Steinberg) Kohnke. He served our country in the United States Army as a Private during WWII. He married Evelyn Warren on November 11, 1942, in Ripon. Arthur worked in maintenance in the City of Ripon. He was a member of American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Jim and Jerry Kohnke both of Ripon, WI; six brothers, Harold of Fond du Lac, WI, Harvey of Lena, WI, Norman of Oakfield, WI, Leonard of Waupun, WI, Earl of Waukesha, WI and Eldon of Fond du Lac, WI; three sisters, Marion (Joe) Rychek of Milwaukee, WI, Bill (Fern) Wagner of Mayville, WI and Gladys Godfrey of Chicago, IL and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Visitation for Arthur will be held on Sunday, November 4, 1984, from 7 – 9:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a Legion Service at 8:00 pm.
Funeral Service for Arthur will be held on Monday, November 5, 1984, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow officiating. Inurnment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon.
