Arthur H. Krause, 88, recently of New Holstein, formerly of Ripon, passed away on October 6, 2008, at Willow Park following a long battle with cancer.
Arthur was born in Ripon, Wisconsin on October 8, 1919, a son of the late Alfred and Elsie (Hein) Krause. He attended school in Ripon and farmed the Krause family farm for most of his life. He married Delores Mae Winters on April 28, 1946, in Berlin. In 1973, he sold the farm and moved into the City of Ripon. He was employed by American Stores in Fairwater until his retirement. Arthur was a member of Our Savior’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and watching Nascar racing.
He is survived by his wife, Delores of New Holstein; sister, Ruby (Roy) Brunet of Fond du Lace; sister-in-law, Pat Krause of Ripon; son, Wayne (Faden) Fulleylove-Krause of Chilton; five grandchildren, Kiersten (Tom ) Woods of Kiel, Jorgen (Sarah) Fulleylove-Krause of New Holstein, Troy Fulleylove-Krause of Chilton, Brett Fulleylove-Krause of Chilton, and Erik Kent of San Diego, CA; three great-grandchildren, Allondra, Skyler, and Alayna Woods of Kiel, and nieces, nephews and friends. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Arden “Butch” and Richard; two sisters, Margie Prellwitz and Louise Cory; three brothers-in-law, Lyle Cory, Phil Prellwitz and Irvin Nelson, Sr.; three sisters-in-law, Selma Krause, Margaret Krause, and Everdeen Nelson; daughter-in-law, Linda Grams Krause, and by two sons, Keith Krause and David Krause.
Visitation for Arthur Krause will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon.
Funeral Service for Arthur Krause will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Interment will be held in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
