Arthur E. Leese, age 82, of Ripon, WI, died Friday, February 13, 1998, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born July 26, 1915, in the Town of Brooklyn, the son of Ernest and Ella Leese. He received his schooling in Berlin. On December 27, 1950, he married the former Laila Gneiser. Arthur farmed in the Rush Lake area until retirement. He has lived the past 10 years at Parkview Care Center in Ripon. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Arthur is survived by two brothers-in-law, Edgar (Mary) Gneiser and Nelson Gneiser, both of ripon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Laila on March 8, 1996, and two sisters.
Funeral service will be Monday, February 16, 1998, at 2 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Pastor Eric Burnard officiating.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Nepeuskun Cemetery in Winnebago Co. A memorial has been established in his name for Our Saviour’s UCC.
