Arthur Roggenbuck Jr.

Arthur F. Roggenbuck Jr., age 70, of 870 Patricia Ct, Green Lake, died Wednesday evening, September 10, 2003, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Chicago, IL on January 21, 1933, the son of Arthur F. and Agnes (nee Gebhardt) Roggenbuck Sr. He was a graduate of Lane Tech High School. Arthur was a retired Maintenance Mechanic at Harper Jr. College, Palatine, IL, and was a member of SAL, Post #690 in Palatine. He married the former Patricia M. Sullivan and they made their home in Palatine prior to moving to Green Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Green Lake; children, Kenneth (Brenda, nee Steele) of Roscoe, IL, Kimberly (Ken) Walters of Apple Valley, MN, Jeffrey (Linda, nee Dailly) of Green Lake, Janis (Rick Benthaus) Roggenbuck of Palatine, Cynthia (Lee) Smythe of Leo, IN and Chastity (Tim) Groenland of Cary, IL; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Shirley Skopec of Chicago and Jean Oller of Bullhead City, AZ, many nieces and nephews, and was brother-in-law of many. He was preceded in death by parents; and 2 brothers-in-law, Robert Skopec and John Oller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2003, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Green Lake, with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5-9 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be given in his name to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.

Art loved all sports, the Chicago Bears and Cubs in particular. He was an avid fisherman and liked to do woodworking.
