Arthur L. Troester, age 86, Ripon, died Friday afternoon, October 18, 2002, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
He was born August 13, 1916, in Hartford, the son of Louis J. and Christine (Seglem) Troester. After graduating from Hartford High School, he attended Ripon College. On July 4, 1940, he married Dorothy C. Wahoske. Art served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater, and was a member of the Ripon V.F.W. He had been a supervisor at Speed Queen in Ripon, retiring after working 42 years at the plant.
Survivors include his spouse of 62 years, Dorothy C. Troester; daughter, Karen D. (J. Michael) Jerry of Green Bay; son, Thomas A. (Suzanne) Troester of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren, Nicole S. (Wesley) Harber of Kingston, OH, Timothy A. Troester of Dublin, OH, Jennifer M. Jerry and John M. Jerry, both of Minneapolis, MN; great-grandchild, Elizabeth C. Harber of Kingston, OH; and sister, Mildred Litteria of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis J. and Christine Troester; and sister, Alice P. Troester.
Funeral service for Arthur L. Troester will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2002, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Father William Whalen officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 until 7 p.m., with a V.F.W. service at 6:45 p.m. Memorials to Alzheimers Adult Day Service/Support Group.
