Arthur L. Wells, age 67, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 1955 at The Grand Army Home for Veterans in King, WI.
Arthur was born in Hainsville, IL on August 31, 1887, the son of Henry and Alice (Owens) Wells. He worked for many years as a Blacksmith in Ripon, and was the owner of the Green Lake Terrace Grocery Store. On September 20, 1920 he married Martha Ludtke in Ripon. Arthur was a member of the American Legion.
Arthur is survived by a sister, Bertha Woodmansee of Maywood, IL; and one brother, Herbert Wells of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Wells and one sister.
Visitation for Arthur will be held from 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 1955 until 2:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 1955 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Arthur will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 1955 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
