Arvilla F. Breivogel, age 79, of 1025 Metomen St., Ripon, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003, at her home.
Arvilla was born August 21, 1923, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, a daughter of Emil E. and Gladys F. (Lehman) Polfuss. She graduated from Princeton High School. On January 31, 1947, she married Orville Brievogel at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon. They resided in Ripon all of their years together. She was previously employed at Speed Queen and Ripon Advertisers. Arvilla was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon and the V.F.W. Post #5278 Auxillary, Ripon.
Survivors include her husband, Orville; Mother, Gladys Polfuss; Brothers, Kenneth E. (Ruth) Polfuss of Appleton and Donald E. (special friend, Sandra Wagner) Polfuss of Mesa, AZ; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William (Marjorie) Breivogel of Montello and brother-in-law, Russell Pettibone of Oshkosh. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Dorothy Pettibone, a brother, Herbert Polfuss and a sister-in-law, Carol Polfuss.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2003, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a V.F.W. service to follow at 8:00 p.m., at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Services will be Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon. Rev Margaret G. Richardson Zedan will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, City of Ripon. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
She fought as hard as she could, so don’t think of her as gone away, her journey has just begun. Think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched. She was loved by many. We will miss her very, very much. From her family.
