Audrey M. Pettack, age 85, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Audrey was born May 30, 1931, in Waupun, WI, the daughter of Edward and Esther (Fry) McDowell. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1949. On October 15, 1950, Audrey married Lester H. Pettack in Waupun, where they farmed until 1962 when they moved to Green Lake to manage the Pilgrim Camp until 1972. She was also an Avon Representative for 38 years. Audrey was a faithful member of The Federated Church of Green Lake. She was a member of Royal Neighbors and the Green Lake County Homemakers. Audrey also helped with 4-H.
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Kay (Tom) Pettack-Bengel; two step-great-grandsons, Kris Ross and Shaun Wilson and family; two granddaughters, Virginia (Pepe) Cerdan and Deanna (Terry) Lyons; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Gabriella and Collin; her son, Mark Pettack; several step-grandchildren including Ben (Cassie) Ewerdt, Buddy (Amy) Ewerdt, Brian Ewerdt and several step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren. Audrey is further survived by her sister, Karen (Tony) Bentz of Beaver Dam, WI; brother, Lynn “Mac” (Patricia) McDowell all of Rice Lake, WI and several nieces and nephews. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Pettack; son, Byron; infant daughter, Judith and several sister and brothers-in-law.
Visitation for Audrey will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016, from 1 – 3:00 pm at The Federated Church of Green Lake, 489 Scott St., Green Lake, WI 54941.
Funeral Service for Audrey will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at 3:00 pm at The Federated Church of Green Lake. Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriquez will officiate. Interment will be at 10:00 am on Monday, December 5, 2016, at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake, WI. A memorial is being established.
