August H. Klingbail, age 84, of Ripon, WI passed away on Friday, February 8, 1957 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
August was born in Green Lake County, WI on May 30, 1872, the son of Herman and Dehlia (Lenz) Klingbail. He was educated in Green Lake County public schools and went on to become a policeman in Ripon. He has lived Ripon for the past 58 years. On December 14, 1893 he married Hulda Goldsmith.
August is survived by his wife, Hulda Klingbail of Ripon, WI; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Farvour of Ripon, WI; a son, Edward Klingbail of Ripon, WI; three brothers, William of Ripon, WI, Fred of Milwaukee, WI, and John of Washington; two sisters, Bertha Batell of Milwaukee, WI and Anna Klingbail of Fond du Lac, WI; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Dehlia Klingbail and a sister.
Visitation for August will be held from 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 1957 until 11:00 am on Monday, February 11, 1957 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday, February 11, 1957 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Funeral service for August will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 11, 1957 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery, Green Lake County, WI.
