August Joseph Miskey, age 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, August 23, 1954, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
August was born June 15, 1872, in Germany, the son of Frank and Josephine Miskey. He was educated at the Catholic School of Berlin and worked as a building and trades contractor. August married Anna Rose Meyers on June 28, 1896 then after her passing, he married Mary Martha Brueger in 1910. August was a member of Holy Name Society of the St. Stanaslaus Church of Berlin and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Survivors include three sons, Frand and Charles of Milwaukee and Stanley of Berlin; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Goldsmith of Ripon, Mrs. Clarence Lund of Berlin and Mrs. Phylis Werch of Eureka; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Adam Miskey of Berlin and one sister, Mrs. Adam Czinsky of Berlin. He was preceded in death by two wives, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 24, 1954, after 6:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for August will be held on Thursday, August 26, 1954, at 9:00 am at St. Stanaslaus Catholic Church of Berlin with The Reverend Ferdinand A. Brukwicki officiating. Interment will take place at St. Stanaslaus Cemetery in Berlin.
