August F. Schattschneider, age 61, of the Town of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 1956, at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
August was born September 8, 1894, in the Town of Ripon, WI, the son of Albert and Matilda (Boeck) Schattschneider. On April 12, 1915, he married Laura Kupske. August was a farmer and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Ripon. He was also a former tax assessor for the Town of Rosendale.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; three sons, Glen of the Town of Sprinvale, Albert of the Town of Ripon and Neal of the Town of Rosendale; one daughter, Mrs. Arlow Hess of the Town of Berlin; three grandchildren, three brothers, Charles of Fond du Lac, Emil of Chicago and John of Ripon and two sisters, Mrs. Ervin Koehler of Ripon and Mrs. Gertrude Meilke of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call on Thursday, August 30, 1956, after 6:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon with Oddfellows service on Friday, August 31, 1956, at 8:00 pm.
Funeral Service for August will be held on Saturday, September 1, 1956, at 2:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home with The Reverend C.A. Bender officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
