August Schlueter

August Schlueter, age 89, of the Town of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 1954, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
August was born September 11, 1865, in Baumgarten, Germany, the son of Frederick and Fredericka (Haack) Schlueter. He worked as a farmer on farms in the Towns of Berlin and Ripon. On May 6, 1894, August married Augusta Wittchow in Ripon.
Survivors include one son, Fred W. Schlueter of Ripon; two daughters, Mrs. Ella Thiel of Ripon and Mrs. Edna Young of Sheboygan Falls; four grandchildren, Mrs. Doris Hartman, Mrs. Elaine Stellmacher, Arlyn Thiel and Frederick Schlueter all of Ripon and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on August 23, 1951.
Friends may call on Friday, December 3, 1954, after 12:00 noon at Butzin Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for August will be held on Saturday, December 4, 1954, at 1:00 pm at The First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon with The Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
