Augusta Schlueter

Augusta Schlueter, age 80, of Ripon, WI passed away on Thursday, August 23, 1951 in the Town of Metomen.
Augusta was born in Germany on May 16, 1871, the daughter of Carl and Minnie (Grams) Wittchow. She came to the United States with her parents when she was six months old. She was educated in Brandon and Rosendale, and lived on farms in the towns of Berlin and Ripon. Augusta married August Schlueter.
Augusta is survived by her husband, August; son, Fred Schlueter; two daughters, Ella Thiel of Ripon, WI and Edna Young of Sheboygan Falls; four grandchildren, Doris Hartman, Elaine Stellmacher, Arlyn Thiel and Frederick Schlueter all of Ripon; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gustave Wittchow of Eldorado, William Wittchow and George Wittchow both of Ripon; two sisters, Minnie Altnau of Ripon and Anna Seavall of Aldin, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Minnie Wittchow and one sister.
Visitation for Augusta will be held from 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 1951 until 11:00 am on Monday, August 27, 1951 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday, August 27, 1951 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service for Augusta will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 27, 1951 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon.
