Augusta Stanke, age 83 of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, September 18, 1953 at her home.
Augusta was born in Ripon on October 31, 1869, the daughter of August and Carolin (Rako) Lambert. She has lived in Ripon all of her life. On May 11, 1893 she married William F. Stanke in Ripon. She was a member of Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Augusta is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fred Nueman of Clear Lake, SD, Mrs. Edward Zellmer of Sparta, WI, and Mrs. Humboldt Fink of Ripon, WI; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Julius Lambert of Ripon, WI; and one sister, Mrs. William Schultz of Ripon, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Stanke; a daughter; three sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation for Augusta will be held from 12:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 1953 until 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 22, 1953 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 1953 at United Brethren Church in Ripon.
Funeral service for Augusta will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 1953 at United Brethren Church in Ripon, with Reverend C.A. Bender officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
