Avice Mae Keplin, age 71, of the Town of Metomen, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, December 21, 2000, in Ripon.
She was born December 16, 1929, in Fond du Lac Co., a daughter to Edwin and Martha (Smith) Lehman. Avice was a graduate of Ripon Senior High School. On June 2, 1951, she married Clarence R. Keplin in Ripon. Avice had lived on the N6662 farm since 1963, and was a farm wife. She also worked at K-Mart in Ripon for many years. Mrs. Keplin was a member of Ripon Assembly of God, and for 20 years had been a Spring Valley 4-H Club leader.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jeffrey (Darcia) Keplin of North Fond du Lac and Joel (Laura) Keplin of Ripon; 2 daughters, Janet (Frank) Conidi of Itasca, IL and Judy (Donald) Borchardt of Walton, KY; grandsons, Adam Keplin, Cody and Connor Borchardt, and Travis and Trenton Keplin; granddaughter, Carly Borchardt; step-grandchildren, Michael and Lisa Conidi; and 1 brother, Charles Lehman. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993; parents; 2 brothers, Carlton and Marvin; and 3 sisters; Joyce, Gladys and Dorothy.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at Ripon Assembly of God with the Rev. Donald Deike officiating. Family and friends may call Tuesday, December 26 from 4-8 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
