Barbara Marshall, age 76, of Sioux City, IA currently residing in Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012, with her daughter by her side at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Barbara was born January 26, 1936, in Iowa, the daughter of John and Margaret (Markel) Erickson. She graduated from high school and married Ted Simon. After Teds passing, Barbara married David Marshall. She enjoyed visiting her friends and having coffee. Barbara was most happy when she was camping, playing Cribbage and also loved her time with her grandkids.
Survivors include one son, John Simon of Germany; one daughter, Christina (Rick) Erdmann of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, SSgt. Douglas E. (Nikki) Kesler Jr. of Seattle, WA, Nina Simon of Tucson, AZ, Timothy Simon of Germany and Kyle Erdmann of Ripon, WI; one great-grandchild on the way and two sisters, Kay (Ken) Scheer of Smithland, IA and Ret. Major (USAF) Sharon Erickson of Omaha, NE. She was further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Ted and David and one son, Edward Simon.
A time of gathering for Barbara Marshall will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012, from 4 5:00 pm at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd. Sioux City, IA 51104. A memorial is being established.
