Barbara J. Prellwitz, age 90, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon, with her family by her side.

Barb was born at home at Sandstone Camp, located on Green Lake, WI, on February 10, 1927, the daughter of John and Gladys (Cochrane) Mickle. She graduated from Ripon High School, and is a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon as well as the VFW. In 1946, she married Robert A. Prellwitz at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ. He passed away in 2011. Barb worked at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon. At the age of 52, she went back to school at UW Oshkosh and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1984. She retired as a nurse from Sheltered Village in Ripon. Barb enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Green Lake, her flower garden, and her cat, Casey, but most of all her family.

Barb is survived by her children, Sue (Herm) Leitz of Ripon, WI, Jayne (Dennis) Plagenz of Ripon, WI, Barb (Joe) LeGault of Berlin, WI, Bobby (Tricia) Prellwitz of Berlin, WI, and Robyn (Mark) Burton of Ripon, WI; son-in-law, Steve Stephens of San Antonio, TX; fourteen grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ken Mickle of Green Bay, WI; sister-in-law, Marion (Ed) VandeBrink; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert; a daughter, Diane Stephens; a sister, Gail Rohloff, and a brother, Jack Mickle.

Visitation for Barb will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, 343 Scott Street, Ripon, WI, 54971.

Funeral Services for Barb will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, with Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lake Center Cemetery, Town of Green Lake. A memorial is being established in Barb's name. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Maplecrest Manor for their wonderful care of Barb over the past six years, and also to Generations Hospice of Fond du Lac and Agnesian Hospice of Green Lake.
