Barbara Waters

Barbara Louise Waters nee Link, age 44, of N5450 Lazy L Rd, Green Lake, Town of Princeton, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born January 22, 1958, in Beaver Dam, a daughter to Harvey, Jr. and Luella (Schwartz) Link. She graduated from Waupun High School. On May 20, 1989, she married Nelson Waters at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fox Lake. Barbara had worked as a stitcher at Admanco, Inc. in Ripon for 6 years, and had previously worked at P.G.I. in Green Lake and Continental Manor in Randolph. She was an avid bowler at Green Meadows in Green Lake. Barbara loved watching the Olympics, especially the figure skating. Mrs. Waters was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Nelson of Green Lake; daughter, Elizabeth at home; stepchildren, Bonnie Waters of Fond du Lac and, Eric & Heather Waters, both of Ripon; sisters, Connie (Steve) Herzberg of Fond du Lac, Susan Link of Johnson Creek and Laurel (Todd) Will of Waupun; brother David (JoAnne) Link of Juneau; mother-in-law, Dorothy Waters of Markesan, brothers-in-law, Gary (Renee) Waters and Richard (Brenda) Waters, both of Markesan; and sister-in-law, Luann (Tim) Judas of Green Lake. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, father-in-law, and uncle, Robert Link.

Funeral service for Barbara Louise Waters will be Monday, March 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake with the Rev. Rodney Dietsche officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
