Barnette (Betty) Wagner

Barnette (Betty) Marie Wagner (nee Arndt), age 90, of 418 Walker Ave., Green Lake, passed away Wednesday morning, November 30, 2005, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon under Hospice care.
She was born August 28, 1915, in home in the town of Dupont, WI, the daughter of John B. and Mary (Gruenstern) Arndt. She received her education in Marion, WI and was a graduate of Marion High School. On June 12, 1937, she married Edwin F. Wagner in Marion. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, Green Lake Senior Citizens and the Green Lake Triad. Betty’s occupation was enjoying life!
Survivors include one son, Leon J. Wagner of Green Lake; three brothers, Raymond (Violet) Arndt, Johnny (Edna) Arndt and Donald (Judy) Arndt, all of Marion; and two grandchildren, Robert E. (Stacy) Wagner of Seymour, WI and Wende L. Wagner of New Orleans, LA. Betty is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Matthew R. Wagner of Oshkosh, Caitlyn R. Socwell, Courtlyn R. Socwell and Robert J. Wagner of Seymour; two sisters-in-law, Fern Wagner and Marjorie Wagner of Ripon; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Wagner; her parents, Mary & John Arndt; and three brothers, Emil, Evan and Rueben Arndt.
Funeral service for Barnette (Betty) Wagner will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2005, at the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with the Rev. Gerald Schrankler officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established. Luncheon will be served at the Green Lake Senior Center.
