Beatrice Grasee

Beatrice Helen Grasee, age 96, of Arvada, CO, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012, in Colorado.
She was born on April 17, 1915, in Ripon, WI, the only child of Albert and Emma (Siedschlag) Klatt. Beatrice was educated in Ripon schools. She married Milton E. Grasee on May 24, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1987.
Beatrice was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and had participated in church activities. While living in Colorado, she attended both St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and chapel services at Colorado Lutheran Senior Residence. Beatrice was a long time member of Post 5278 VFW Auxiliary and the Fond du Lac County Extension Homemakers. She and her husband, Mick and son, Michael owned and operated East Side Country Market, selling it in 1994 to John Hounsell Green houses.
Survivors include her daughter, Anne (Arthur Staliwe) Grasee of Denver, CO and a son, Michael of Omro, WI; two grandchildren, Mark and Rebecca Grasee. She is also survived by two nieces, Nancy Peterson of Kaukauna, WI and Shirley Heisler of Oshkosh, WI as well as extended family and friends in Wisconsin and Colorado. Beatrice has resided in Colorado since 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation for Beatrice Grasee will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, from 10 – 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Memorial service for Beatrice Grasee will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to the Denver Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 5206, Denver, CO 80217, www.DenverRescueMission.org or to the charity of your choice.
