Benjamin "Ben" Diekvoss

Benjamin “Ben” A. Diekvoss, 84, of Appleton, died Monday evening, September 17, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.
He was born January 12, 1917, in Portage, Columbia County, the son of the late the Rev. B.J. and Mamie (Francke) Diekvoss. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Appleton, and formerly a member Zion United Methodist Church of Forest Junction and Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon. Ben had been a manager and chef of the H.C. Prange Company, Midway Restaurant for 18 years, retiring on May 4, 1979.
Survivors include 2 nephews, Chris (Nancy) Hollerup of Ripon and Clair (Leesa) Hollerup of Greenville, SC; other nieces and nephews. His parents; 3 brothers, Leslie, Clair and Merlin Diekvoss; 1 sister, Pearl Hollerup; and niece, Sandra Hollerup Hawkins preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2001, at lmmanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon with the Rev. David Busker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorial gifts may be given to any of his former churches in his name.
