Mr. Benjamin R. Schmuhl, age 78, of Ripon, WI, passed at on Saturday, March 7, 1992, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Ben was born November 6, 1913, in Ripon, to Richard and Emma (Schroeder) Schmuhl. He married Caroline Frost on November 12, 1932. He spent most of his life as Plant Supervisor at Speed Queen in Ripon and was a member of the Speed Queen 25 Year Club.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline; one son, Russell (Sandra) Schmuhl of Andover, MA; one daughter, LaRayne (Robert) Sweeney of Ripon; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; and one sister, Myrtle Katerzynski of Ripon. One son, three brothers, and one sister preceded him in death.
He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon where services will be held Thursday, March 12, 1992 at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow will officiate and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
