Bernadino S. Ramirez

Bernadino “Dino” Santillian Ramirez, age 89, died Sunday August 13, 2023 at Hospice Home of Hope. 

He was born May 20, 1934, son of Policarpo and Santos (Santillian) Ramirez of San Marcos, Texas. Dino was outgoing and spirited, and shared his good sense of humor everywhere he went.

Dino worked hard at everything he did, whether it was in the fields or on the farm. He was proud to work at Fall River Canning Company where he met Anna (Jones) Ramirez. Dino and Anna worked together on Leon Zuehls farm. He went on to work at the Grand River Co-Op for 40 years, 3 months, and 23 days. 

When Dino wasn’t working he enjoyed fishing, semi trips to Washington with David, rides to Bozo’s for ice cream, and going to Lemishes for Saturday night chicken. He loved his family and took great care of them. 

He is survived by his children, Debra Reilly, David (Jane) Ramirez, Elizabeth Ramirez, Maria Curi, Ricardo (Jean Pilsbury) Ramirez; sister, Manula Carmona; brother, Ascencion (Edelia) Ramirez; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Anna Ramirez; sisters, Francis Cabrera; Olfilia Ramirez, Dominga Ramirez.

Visitation for Dino will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

A funeral service for Dino will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Rev. Wesley Wassell officiating. {LINK FOR LIVESTREAM BELOW} Interment will follow at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
