Bernard Elliott, age 82, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center.
He was born June 18, 1920, in Rosendale, a son to Charles and Eva (Hyde) Elliott. Bernard worked in maintenance at Speed Queen, Ripon from 1957 until his retirement, and was a member of the United Steel Workers Local #1327 and the 25-Year Club. On October 31, 1959, he married Lois Leeman in Oshkosh.
He is survived by his wife, Lois of Oshkosh; 1 niece, Diana Trevor of Brandon; and 1 nephew, Roger Elliott of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents; 9 month-old twin sister; Bernice, baby brother, Earl; two brothers Lyle and Ray; and sister, Mabel Runke and 4 brothers.
Funeral service for Bernard Elliott will be Friday, July 5, 2002, at 3 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with the Rev. T. Gregory Turner officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. Memorials to Alzheimer’s, 6130 W National Ave, Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
