Bernice Geer

Bernice J. Geer, age 59, of Ripon, died Wednesday, November 24, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.

She was born March 26, 1940, in Ripon, a daughter to Robert F. and Rose (Quinn) Reiser, Senior. She graduated from Princeton High School, and on January 19, 1959, she married John F. Geer. Bernice was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, life member of Friends of the Ripon Library, past member of the Ripon Women’s Club, past member of Ripon Christian Women’s Club, and past member of the Homemaker’s Club. She recently retired after working 13 years in the Ripon Public School lunch service.

Survivors include her husband, John F. Geer of Ripon; 3 children, John D. Geer of Tampa, FL, Jill M. Geer of Washington, DC, and Tom Geer of Ripon; father, Robert F. Reiser, Sr. of Princeton; 3 sisters, Betty (Gordon) Dubberstein of Oshkosh, Barbara (Myron) Pinch of Fond du Lac, and Beverly (Vincent) Manglo of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 2 brothers, Robert (Karen) Reiser, Jr. of Ripon and Joseph Reiser of Wautoma; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Reiser, and an infant sister.

Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 1999, from 5 until 8 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Saturday from 11:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Funeral service for Bernice J. Geer will be Saturday, November 27, 1999, at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Mose officiating. A memorial has been established.
