Bernice T. Koerner, age 75, of Ripon, WI, died Monday, October 28, 1996, at Sunnyview Health and Rehab Center in Princeton, WI.
She was born April 13, 1921, in Greene, Iowa, a daughter to John and Edith (Adams) Ramker. She attended school in Colby, Wisconsin. On January 17, 1942, she married Clarence Koerner and at the time of his death, they had been married for 50 years and farmed in the Ripon area. Clarence and Bernice enjoyed life together. They gave of themselves, always helping other people, showing their care and concern with others. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon.
She is survived by two sons, John (Diane) Koerner of Oshkosh and Gerald Koerner of Bolton, CT; three grandsons, Scott, Jeff and Brad Koerner; one sister, Betty Petersen; one brother, Max Ramker; nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, Nancy, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 1996, from 9:30 am until 11:00 am with prayers following at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, November 2, 1996, at 11:30 am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon with Father William L. Toelle officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh. Memorials may be given to the Arthritis Association in her name.
