Bernice Mills, age 93, of Ripon, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Fountain View Care Center, Ripon.
Bernice was born on November 4, 1913 in Ripon the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Pollesch) Schultz. She graduated from Ripon High School and on November 30, 1939 she married Joe Mills. Bernice was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, the Pilgrim Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years, where she served as Noble Grand, was a charter member of Hilltop Homemakers Club, and a member of the Rosendale Grange. Bernice enjoyed reading, crocheting, and knitting for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters; Nancy Mills of Ripon, and Dolores (George) Dupont of Long Beach, MS, and grand children; Joshua (Angela) Dupont of New Glarus, WI, and Jessica Dupont of Pascagoula, MS, and Timothy Kuehn of California. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Judy Kuehn.
Visitation for Bernice Mills will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Services for Bernice Mills will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 1:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials will be established.
