Bernice Pinnow, 80, of Berlin, WI, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2001, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
Bernice was born on December 24, 1920, the daughter of Archie and Beatrice (Krebs) Lynch in Rush Lake. She attended Ripon High School and worked in the food service at Clay Lamberton School in Berlin. She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon. On November 14, 1942, she married Ervin Pinnow.
Survivors include her two sons, Ken (Kay) Pinnow of Ripon and Dave (Marlene) Pinnow of Berlin, six grandchildren, Doug (Dani) Pinnow, Jeff (Beckie) Pinnow, Sara (Brian Mildebrandt), Dena Pinnow, April Pinnow, Kimberly Pinnow; two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Madelyn Pinnow. Also one brother, Lyndon (June) Lynch of Ripon and one sister; Marion (Marvin) Born of Ripon. Bernice also had over 25 foster children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ervin on December 2, 1978.
Funeral service for Bernice Pinnow will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2001, at 2 pm, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Reverend Gerald Schrankler officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, September 29, 2001, from 4 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and again on Sunday, from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Nepeuskun Cemetery, Town of Nepeuskun. A memorial has been established in her name for Hospice Hope/Central WI Branch, Berlin.
