Mrs. Bertha Helene Thompson, 92, of 504 Russell Manor in Ripon, died Friday, October 27, 1989, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 21, 1897, in Dakota, WI, to Herman and Pauline Brose Tetzlaff. On June 18, 1931, she married Alfred Thompson. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1950.
Mrs. Thompson was a housekeeper for various hotels and restaurants. She had been a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Waupun. She had lived in Ripon since 1972, and was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include one brother, Herman Tetzlaff of Montello and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, October 30, at 1 pm at the Messiah Lutheran Church with the Reverend William Fenker officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
Friends may call Monday from 11 am until the hour of services at the church.
