Bessie Marion Belau, age 102, passed away Saturday, December 22, 1990, at Care Center East in Fond du Lac.
She was born in Buffalo Township, Marquette County, on March 25, 1888, to Lute and Marion (Farnsworth) West. On September 1, 1909, she was united in marriage with Henry R. Belau. She spent most of her life in the Beaver Dam and Ripon area. She is a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
She is survived by two daughters, Inez Saniter of Beaver Dam and Arlene Koehn and her husband, Ervin of Green Lake; one son, Norman Belau and his wife, Orleen of Ripon; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Preceding her in death was her husband on January 24, 1942, a son, Merlin Belau on May 26, 1985; four brothers; three sisters; a son-in-law, Arthur Saniter and a daughter-in-law, Edna Belau.
Friends may call from noon until the hour of services on Wednesday, December 26, 1990, at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Services for Mrs. Belau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 1990, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with the Reverend Robert B. LeCount officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam. A memorial has been established for the church.
