Betty Marie Hoekstra, age 82, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Markesan Residence Home in Markesan.
Betty was born March 12, 1929, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Marion (Favel) Brayley. On January 8, 1966, she married Henry Hoekstra. Betty was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.
Survivors include one son, Ray (Angie) Hoekstra of Green Lake, WI; two granddaughters, Kayla and Heather Hoekstra both of Green Lake, WI; two nieces, Kathy Waters of Green Lake, WI and Marion Ziemba of Ripon, WI and one nephew, Steve Brinkmeyer of Lake Village, IN. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry; sister, Kathleen Brinkmeyer and nephew, Paul Brinkmeyer.
Visitation for Betty Hoekstra will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, February 25, 2012, from 10 – 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St. Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Betty Hoekstra will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial is being established.
