Betty Jane Sauer, age 68, of 615 W. Oshkosh St. Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at her home.
Betty was born on January 2, 1937 in Eureka, the daughter of Alfred and Florence (Johnston) Voight. She attended school in Princeton and Ripon. On January 29, 1955 she married William Sauer in Ripon, and she worked as a cook at many different places for 30 years. William and Betty lived in Ripon and were members of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include her brothers; Leo Voight of Florida and Donald (Geraldine) Voight of Beaver Dam, William Voight of Beaver Dam, Alfred (Linda) Voight of Fox Lake, Roy (Terese) Voight of Beaver Dam, Clarence Voight of Markesan, and sisters; Janice Rahn of Manchester, Beverly (Lance) Fredrick of Mukwonago, Mary (Jim) Kelm of Reeseville, and many nieces and nephews and special friends the Neitzke family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William and sisters Susan and Donna Mae.
Funeral service for Betty J. Sauer will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 11:00 am with the Rev. Gerald Schrankler officiating. Friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield. A memorial has been established.
