Betty L. Schmidt, age 88, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012, at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.
Betty was born on May 22, 1924, in Minnesota, the daughter of Chester and Helen (McKenzie) Cusick. On December 1, 1943, she married Alexander Schmidt in Colorado.
Survivors include her son, Timothy (Carol) Schmidt of Cedarhurst, NY; two daughters, Barb (Don) Schultz of Ripon, WI and Susan (Paul) Karsten of West Allis, WI; two granddaughters, Debbie Schmidt of Oceanside, NY and Hope Schultz of Sun Prairie, WI; three grandsons, Tim Schmidt of Oceanside, NY, John (Tori) Schultz of Darboy, WI and Robert Karsten of West Allis, WI; six great-grandchildren, Lily Schmidt, Robert Karsten Jr., Ryan Karsten, Donovan, Annika and Matthew Schultz; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Kohl of New Berlin, WI and Delores Cusick of Duluth, MN. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alexander and her siblings.
Per Betty’s wishes there will be no public service. There will be a private family inurnment at Wood Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI at a later date. A memorial is being established.
