Betty Jane Stobb was born in Springvale, WI on March 18, 1932. She was the daughter of John and Elise (Quade) Fenske. Betty married Duel “Charlie” Stobb on August 18, 1951 and together they had four sons. Betty worked as a switchboard operator at a local telephone company, as well as worked at the Schouten Mink Ranch in Waupun. Later in life, she worked in canneries in Rosendale and Fairwater. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. Betty was an excellent cook and enjoyed making meals for her family. She liked going to craft shows, refinishing furniture, gardening and listening to polka music with Charlie. Betty loved giving presents to her family, especially her grandkids, on Christmas. She will be remembered as a loving caretaker of her sons, grandchildren and family pets.
Betty is survived by her four sons, Richard (Laura) Stobb of Green Lake, WI; Rodney (Pam) Stobb of Van Dyne, WI; Robert Stobb of Oshkosh, WI; Ronald (Gen) Stobb of Waupun, WI; grandchildren, Rachelle (Scott) Krahenbuhl, Danielle (Anthony) Mandella, Amanda (fiancé Jack) Stobb, Andrew (Bella) Stobb, Amber Ramirez, Alyssa (Kyle) Dittner, Brein Stobb, Braelie Stobb, Riley Stobb, Mason Stobb, Madi (Tyler) DeBoer and Boyd Farr; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Fenske; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Charlie, parents and several siblings.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54975.
Memorial service will be held following the visitation at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Pastor Erik Boulier officiating.
