Betty J. Sullivan, age 83, of 673 South Grove St, Ripon, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006, at Hospice Care Center in Madison.

Betty was born on August 29, 1922, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Erwin and Lillian (Zinke) Pinnow. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in teaching. On August 11, 1962 she married Thomas J. Sullivan in Madison. Besides being a very loving mom, wife, sister and special friend to so many, Betty touched many lives during 43 years of teaching, 35 years in Ripon. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon, Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association, Veterans of Middle School, Green Lake Area Retired Education Association and a past member of League of Women Voters.

Survivors include her daughter, Laurie (Mike) Sullivan, and Ashley, gramma’s spoiled grandpup, of Madison. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas Sullivan, one sister, Mickie Towne of Fond du Lac and one brother, Clifford Pinnow of Oshkosh.

Visitation for Betty Sullivan will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and again on Thursday, August 17, 2006 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon.

Funeral Service for Betty Sullivan will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, with Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will be held in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial may be sent to Hospice Care Center, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI, 53711. Special thanks to the staff at Maple Crest Manor in Ripon for their exceptional services provided. To Denise Nelson of the TLC Home Care whose assistance was priceless, and the staff at Hospice Care Center in Madison for their loving care to the end. Her beautiful smile and that special wink will live in our hearts forever. Mom, carry my love with you to Heaven, I will miss you so.
