Blaine Briese

Blaine “Bud” M. Briese, age 67, died Wednesday, June 17, 1987, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fon du Lac, WI.
He was born November 23, 1919, in Fairwater, WI, the son of Reynold and Viola Briese. Bud married Marilyn Fortnum on August 10, 1946, in Ripon. Mr. Briese owned and managed the Spot Restarant and Supper Club on Main St. in Ripon for 37 years.
Bud was a 32 year member and past president of the Ripon Kiwanis Club. Mr. Briese served in the Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his mother, his wife, two daughters, Bonnie Turney of Mountaintop, PA and Barb Splittgaber of Ripon, WI; two sons, Robert of Milwaukee, WI and Bert of Ripon, WI; two sisters, Betty Durant of Oshkosh, WI, Elaine of Ripon, WI and three grandchildren. Blaine was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation for Blaine will be held on Sunday, June 21, 1987, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Blaine will be held on Monday, June 22, 1987, at 1:30 pm at the First Congregational Church in Ripon with the Reverend James Mohr officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake. A memorial is being established.
