Bradley A. Brad Thayer, age 55, of Ripon, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Brad was born August 21, 1958, in Omaha, NE, the son of James and Phyllis (Leu) Thayer. Brad and his family moved while he was in elementary school. He attended St. Patricks Elementary School and was a graduate of Ripon High School, class of 1977. Brad served our country in the United States Navy from 1977 - 1981. He was on base in San Diego, CA and on board ship in Pacific, Japan. In 1986, Brad was united in marriage to Toni Perrone in Las Vegas, NV. Brad worked as a Web Press Crew Leader at Ripon Printers for 31 years. He traveled to France and Germany for the company to inspect machines before the Ripon plant received their big printers. Brad will be missed deeply by his family and friends. He had a keen sense of humor and was always quick with a good joke. He loved riding his Harley, and his many dogs and Miss Kitty!
Brad is survived by his wife, Toni Thayer, Ripon, WI; parents, James and Phyllis Thayer, Oshkosh, WI; brothers, Ronald (Maureen) Thayer, Pickett, WI, brother, Jeff (Jamie) Thayer, Bellingham, WA, brother, Stuart (Sue) Thayer, Pickett, WI; sister, Sue Smits, Ripon, WI; father and mother-in-law, Ed and Barbara Cunningham; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Terri Novak, all of Illinois; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and brother-in-law, Jerry Smits.
Visitation for Bradley A. Thayer will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 2:00 5:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Bradley A. Thayer will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with full Military Honors to follow. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Cremation will follow. A memorial is being established.
