Bruce Malcolm Martz, 39, formerly of Ripon, died suddenly of a stroke November 29, 1994, in Paddock Lake, WI.
He was born November 4, 1955, in Burlington, Vermont, son of William J. and Nedra Linville Martz. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Ripon. After graduating from Ripon High School, Bruce received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He was a professional musician and lived in the Village of Paddock Lake.
Survivors include his parents of Ripon; one brother, William Martz and his wife, GiGi of San Francisco, CA; two nephews, William Jr. and Sean Martz both of San Francisco; one uncle, Mal Linville; and three aunts, Maebell Wood, Chris (Bill) Phillips and Dorothy (Tony) Tocco.
Private funeral service was held December 3, 1994, with the Reverend Jerry Thompson and Dr. Brian Smith officiating. Inurnment was in the Garden of the Cross in Ripon.
A memorial has been established in his name for the Ripon College Music Department.
