Bruce E. Miller, age 46 of Hartford, WI, formerly of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 after 11 years of struggling with cancer. Bruce died from complications following an emergency surgery, while on vacation in the mountains of North Carolina at Spruce Pine Community Hospital.
Bruce was born on February 3, 1961 in Ohio, the son of Noah S. and Alta Mae (Troyer) Miller. After graduating from high school, Bruce went on to graduate from Akron University and Prairie Bible College. He worked as a controller for JM Smucker Co. of Ripon, WI and was presently working for the Quincy Resource Group as their CFO. On August 9, 1986 he married JoAnne Schmidt in Oregon. His last two weeks on this earth were spent resting and spending time with his family, creating wonderful memories. He touched and influenced so many people during his relatively short lifetime and was highly respected and loved. His quiet integrity was a witness to all his love and commitment to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is free at last to fully enjoy eternal life with his Lord, without the suffering and discomfort of a frail, failing body.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnne; two daughters, Crystal and Jessica and one son, Jason all of Hartford, WI; his mother, Alta Miller of Mt. Eaton, OH; two brothers, Glenn Miller of Medina, OH and Ken (Carol) Miller of Calgary, Alberta; two sisters, Dianne Miller of Mt. Eaton, OH and Linda (Dan) Hershberger of Mt. Eaton, OH. He was preceded in death by his father, and two brothers, Vernon and Willie, and one sister, Sandra.
Visitation for Bruce E. Miller will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 4-7:00 p.m. and again on Friday, July 6th, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Community Church west of US Hwy 41 on Hwy 23 and Streblow Drive, Fond du Lac, WI.
Funeral Services for Bruce E. Miller will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Community Church in Fond du Lac with Reverend Arthur Volkmann officiating. Interment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park, Town of West Bend, WI. A memorial has been established.
A Memorial Service for Bruce will be held at a later date in Mt. Eaton, Ohio.
