Carl Otto Dumdie, 83, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 8, 2000, at Parkview Care Center.
Carl was born on May 8, 1916, the son of Otto Carl and Anna (Heiman) Dumdie at their home in the Town of Berlin, Green Lake County. He went to Hillside Country School in Green Lake County and graduated from Ripon High School. Carl married Ruth Weiss on September 12, 1939, and was a farmer in the Town of Berlin, Green Lake County. Carl was a life long member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, Charter member of Green Lake County Farm Bureau, Green Lake Pork Producers, State Pork Producers Board, Ripon School Board, Green Lake County School Committee and the Green Lake County 4-H Leader & Association.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of 60 years, daughters, Patricia Mayer of Lakewood, CO and Carol (Jim) Beier of Ripon; grandchildren, Kevin Mayer and Shane Mayer of Lakewood, CO, Tammi Zuhlke, Traci (Patrick) Merrill, Terri Beier of Ripon and great-grandson, Hunter James Merrill of Ripon. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother-in-law.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2000, at 11:00 am at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon with Reverend James D. Mohr officiating.
Friends may call on Friday, February 11, 2011, from 4 - 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Saturday, from 10 am until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials can be made to Our Saviours United Church of Christ.
