Carl Fredrick Meilahn, age 69, of Ripon, WI passed away on Friday, April 15, 1955 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Carl was born in Ripon on September 10, 1885, the son of Charles and Henriette (Drews) Meilahn. On December 18, 1907 he married Martha Beutin, and she passed away on April 17, 1948. Carl was a farmer in the Ripon area all of his life. He served as the Ripon Township Supervisor for six years.
Carl is survived by two daughters, Adaline Grams and Elenore Standke both of Ripon, WI; two grandchildren, Meilahn Standke and Ellen Grams; and a sister, Lono Mann all of Ripon, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Meilahn; two brothers; and a half sister.
Visitation for Carl will be held from 10:00 am on Sunday, April 17, 1955 until 11:00 am on Monday, April 18, 1955 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Monday, April 18, 1955 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Funeral service for Carl will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 18, 1955 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will be follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
