Carl William Steiner, age 70, Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 1991, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN.
He was born May 8, 1921, in Plymouth, to Charles and Christina (Hoffman) Steiner. He attended schools in Plymouth and served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 until 1945. He was a 1949 graduate of Ripon College and was a salesman for Jostens Inc. On December 12, 1953, he married Lois Gay White and they have resided in Ripon since that time.
Carl was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon. He was a member of Tusbumbia Golf Club, a member of the Police and Fire Commission, and was a Charter Member and Sponsor of Heartland Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by his wife, Gay; one son, Steven Steiner of Ripon; one daughter, Carla (Adrian) Cohen of Whitefist Bay; one grandson, Adam Cohen; two brothers, Claude Steiner of Plymouth and Roland Steiner of Green Bay; and one sister, Isabel LaPlante of Athelstane, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Friends may call Friday, November 15, 1991 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services for Carl Steiner will be held Saturday, November 16, 1991 at 10:00 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with The Reverend John A. Schmitz officiating. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established in Carls name for the American Cancer Society.
