Carol Brooks Baldwin, age 98, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on March 30, 1990, at Sunnyview Village Nursing Home in Princeton.
She was born September 27, 1891 in Green Lake, the daughter of Wells Dudley Brooks and Mabel (Smith) Brooks. She married George S. Baldwin Jr. April 14, 1914, in Green Lake. He preceded her in death September 29, 1967. Carol was a Past-President of the Twentieth Century Club and past member of the Dartford Library Board. She had never missed voting in an election since womens’ suffrage laws passed in 1920.
She is survived by one daughter, Roberta Morell and her husband Cliff of Port Edwards, WI, three grandchildren, Sharon Morell of Stevens Point, Brian Morell and his wife Gayle of Naperville, Illinois, Sheila Smith and husband Dan of Baraboo: three great-grandchildren, Adam Smith of Baraboo, and Allison and Joshua Olendorf of Naperville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George and her brother Horace Brooks.
Friends may call on Monday, April 2, 1990, from 12:00 noon until the hour of services at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Baldwin will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 2, 1990, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Reverends Dwight Bastian and Jack Frohn of Green Lake officiating. Burial will follow in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
