Carol Schultz

Carol Jean Schultz, age 65, of Ripon, was called to her eternal home on January 29, 2010, after a long struggle with Congestive heart failure.

Carol was born in Ripon on July 2, 1944, the daughter of Ralph G. and Clara (Feder) Gitzel. She graduated from Rosendale High School. Carol married Charles Schultz in the Ripon Assembly of God Church in 1974. She worked for Bremner Inc. of Ripon as a cookie packer for 10 years, Heidel House of Green Lake for 5 years, and Big K-Mart for 13 years. Carol was a member of Hillside Assembly Church in Ripon where she was a Sunday school teacher, and played in the church orchestra. She enjoyed working outdoors in the farm fields, driving tractors and doing yard work, putting puzzles together, painting and listening to Gospel music. Carol was also a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan.

Survivors include her father, Ralph Gitzel of Ripon; one sister, Donna (David) Harper of Madison, and one brother, Gary (Katherine) Gitzel of Ripon; mother-in-law, Carolyn Schultz of Ripon; two brothers-in-law, Darwin Schultz of Ripon, and Larry (Barb) Schultz of Randolph; and six nieces and nephews; three step-nieces; and eight great-nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Clara; and her husband, Charles.

Visitation for Carol Jean Schultz will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010, from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Friends may also call on Saturday, February 6, 2010, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Hillside Assembly Church in Ripon.

Funeral service for Carol Jean Schultz will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Hillside Assembly Church with The Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Interment will follow in Bluffton Cemetery in the Town of Brooklyn. A memorial has been established.
