Carolyn Seawell

Carolyn Ann Seawell, age 65, of Ripon, WI, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at St. Luke’s South Shore Hospital, Milwaukee, WI.

Carolyn was born March 22, 1936, in West Branch, Iowa, the daughter of Irving and Mabel (Goss) Lenz. She graduated from Wyman High School and Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. She married Albert Seawell in 1959 in New Albin, IA. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. She was the Executive Director of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce for nine years retiring in 2000, General Federation of Women’s Club; National, Regional, State and local levels holding offices at all levels and the Ripon Historical Society.

Survivors include her husband, Albert of Ripon; sons, Jeffrey (Anne) of Hartford, WI, Scott of Chicago, IL and Todd (Dawna) of Colorado Springs, CO and their daughter, Nichole; her mother, Mabel Lenz of Washington, IA; sister, Beverly (Mark) Mosier of Washington, IA. Proceeded in death by her father, Irving Lenz.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at 11 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, WI. Friends may call Monday July 2nd from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI and also on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
