Caryl was born December 27, 1911, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Chauncy and Harriet (Johnson) Wilkes. She married Robert B. Pelton on October 8, 1938. Caryl was a member of Gamma Phi Beta.
Survivors include her husband, Robert of Green Lake, WI; daughter, Ann Pelton Nevills of Crystal Lake, IL. Caryl was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Pelton Goodwin.
