Catherine Jane (Everhard) Terrio, 80, of Milwaukee, WI, died Friday, January 30, 1998, at Columbia Hospital, Milwaukee. She succumbed to a ten year battle with cancer.
Catherine, known as Tackle (by her nieces and nephew), was born in Park Ridge, IL on June 26, 1917, the daughter of the late Frederic Upham and Harriet (Stade) Everhard. She lived and went to school in Park Ridge during her early years until moving to Ripon, WI. She attended Penn Hall Girls Preparatory School and then graduated from the University of Wisconsin majoring in Home Economics. Catherine was employed at Spincraft for many years. She moved to Milwaukee and lived in Glendale, WI. She was the widow of Francis Terrio and also was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Upham Everhard, who she dearly loved, and a brother, Frederic Upham Everhard, Jr. She had recently lived at Alexian Village in Milwaukee.
She was a communicant of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Ripon. She has generously donated items to the Ripon Historical Society.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Barbara Everhard of Peiham, NH; several nieces and a nephew, Anita (Everhard) Kydd, of Pelham, NH; Marcia(Everhard) Gardner, of Nashua, NH; Linda (Everhard) Schier, of GoffstoWfl, NH;Sandra (Everhard) Coutu, Pelham, NH; Debra (Everhard) Crider, of Raymond,NH; Julia (Everhard) Murphy, of Lowell, MA; and Frederic Upham Everhard III of Hazelhurst, WI; 21 grand nieces and nephews and several cousins.
A prayer service will be held for Catherine on Sunday, February 1, 1998, at 3:00 P.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Father Kenneth Okkerse officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
